The Well Prepared Pianist program was born out of today's need for a
result-oriented piano study which gives students, parents and teachers a
time-table of reachable objectives. The program is divided into three
sequential levels of study:
The Preparatory Level (approx. 2-1/2 years)
- Develops basic playing skills and musicianship as a foundation for
piano playing.
- Specifically prepares students to learn repertoire at the sonatina
level.
The Advancing Level (approx 1 year)
- Repertoire introduces the standard intermediate literature.
- Jazz tidbits introduced to enrich experience.
- Skills and musicianship expanded to prepare for graduating level.
The Graduating Level (approx. 1-1/2 years)
- Repertoire of standard recital literature including easier classic
sonata movements.
- Jazz tidbits expanded to include improvisation.
- Achievement in skills, musicianship, and repertoire resulting in
pianistic independence.
